Summer 2010 Schedule

Note: Classes are held Monday evenings from 5:30 to 8:30 unless otherwise indicated.

Want to bring a group?

Do you have a group of six or more friends, business associates, or plans for a family gathering? Our cooking classes are the perfect get together for an educational, entertaining and trouble free evening.

Cost:

Cost: Unless otherwise indicated, classes are $55 per person, per class. Sign up for two classes and pay $100 ($50 each), or four classes for $160 ($40 each).Wine club members receive a 10% discount on classes.

2010 Summer Schedule

Special summer dinners for Wine Club Members - We will deliver dinner for four or more to wine club members to accompany your wines of the month. $25 per person including delivery to Eastport or Calais. Your choice of menu with seven day notice.. Consult our catering page for suggestions

Ice House Wine Dinners for wine club members and their guests.

June 7 Beef - It's What's for Dinner

Grilled, Braised or Sauteed, discover secrets of classic French "steak frites" Brazilian "Churrassco" and specialties of the American West.

June 14 - Girls Night Out - California Wine Country

Leave the men at home and enjoy "girltime" with our favorite food and wine pairings.

June 21 - Cooking Whole Grains with Flavor - Vegetarian specialties

Learn the secrets of cooking grains, beans and wholesome vegetables so that they taste great and have wonderful delicate flavors.

June 28 Some Like It Hot -Spicy Dishes Around the World

Learn and share in the health benefits of capsicum or pepper chiles. We'll visit Africa, South America, Mexico, Spain and Thailand. For spicy food lovers - We will light you up !

July 6 (Tuesday) Risotto - Northern Italian Specialties

A well prepared risotto may be the most rich and flavorful dish you will ever eat. Accompanied by meat dishes such as saltimbocca or piccata and delicious dolces this will be a delightful Italian evening.

July 12 The Whiskey Kitchen

Each single malt whiskey from the Scottish Highlands offers a unique and complex range of flavors. This will be a delicious and entertaining class with recipes you can duplicate at home with or without scotch whiskey.

July 19 Let Them Eat Cake (or Pie)

We'll create sweet and savory desserts that are guaranteed to be rich, delicious and innovative.

July 26 Family Night Out - Kid's Cook Dinner

An opportunity for young chefs to explore new ingredients and use their imagination to create an original and delicious menu. (minimum age 10. $30 per person)

August 2- Special Reservations

August 9 You Say Tomato

They are finally in season and we'll celebrate with mouth watering hot and cold tomato dishes.

August 16 French Bistro Classics - French Comfort Food

We'll journey to France's heartland where the food and wine make for a perfect night.

August 23 In a Greek Taverna with Dianna Christakos

Dianna's Greek class was a terrific hit last summer. This year she will introduce us to island taverna fare.with fresh uncomplicated and delicious fare, and wonderful desserts made with Greek yogurt.

August 30 Lobster Festival

What's your favorite? What lobster dish have you always wanted to create?.Our most popular dishes from years past with some new and original lobster specialties.

September 7 Farm Fresh and Local - The Bounty of Washington County

Delicious dishes from nearby farms.

September 13-17 Exploritas (Elderhostel). Cooking on Passamaquoddy Bay
