2011 Summer Schedule

July 14, Thursday - Oregon Wine Country Dinner

Pair up the flavors of the Pacific Northwest with some of Oregon's most spectacular wines. We'll plan on trying some innovative ravioli, some original ways with Maine fish and Northwest beignets.

July 21 Thursday - Classic Julia

Are you a Julia Child's fan? Have you found her recipes "daunting". We'll learn just how inspiring her recipes can be and how they have formed the basis of so many of our fine menus.

July 28, Thursday - Flavors of Peru

Take a trip to South America and discover that Peru has one of the most varied and delicious cuisines in South America. Their seafood dishes match well with the seafood available on our Maine coast and there will be some original pork and chicken dishes as well.

August 18, Thursday - Oh, Sicily

This ancient isle is home to one of the most fascinating- and delicious cuisines in all of Italy. From cannoli to caponata, sparkling fresh seafood to stellar wines, we will pay tribute to everything that makes Sicily so unique.

August 25, Thursday - Day of Honey

A glimpse of Middle East cuisine and some of the oldest recipes in the world focusing on Iraq and Lebanon

September 1, Thursday- A Visit to France - Alsace Lorraine

Germany and France alternated ruling the area of Alsace-Lorraine for several centuries. Over time, Germany's influence on traditional French dishes became apparent. Alsatians and Lorrainers place a high importance on the impeccable quality of their rustic food products. We'll try some homemade Alsace sausage, a true quiche "Lorraine" and the classic upside down "Tarte Tatin"
